At Social Roots Studio, we are dedicated to making our meaningful social connection services accessible to individuals who live with disabilities. We do not personally live with a disability ourselves, at this time, and we honor that people who live with a disability have much greater experience and knowledge of accessibility than we do. We strive to stay updated on accessibility options and listen to disability advocates to learn how to continuously improve accessibility to our services.
Our Approach to Accessibility
We believe that meaningful social connection should be available to all individuals, regardless of their abilities. One of our primary goals is to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access our services with the same level of ease and enjoyment as others.
We strive to utilize locations for our events that are as accessible as possible. Unfortunately we are often providing services in communities with older buildings that are not ours to modify. In this case, we do our best to secure fully accessible locations or to make our events and services as accessible as possible through creative solutions that work around inaccessible barriers. We know that inequity and inaccessibility are among the most significant barriers to experiencing and growing meaningful connection and we strive to reduce those barriers in our work as much as possible. In addition, we work to advise clients and partners on improving accessibility whenever we have the opportunity to do so, suggesting local disability advocacy organizations for expert advice.

Where possible, we utilize technology and digital tools to ensure accessibility to our digital services and information so they are useable for screen readers and other adaptive technology. We strive to stay up-to-date on the latest available technology and are very interested in learning about ways we could make our services and materials more accessible.

We are committed to ongoing improvements to enhance the accessibility of our services and welcome input from our community, especially those with lived experiences, to help us achieve this goal.
