INTRODUCING WILD BELONGING...

~ A NEW MONTHLY GATHERING

July's Theme:

Better Together: An Evening of Film, Conversation & Belonging

Wild Belonging is an all-ages space to experience and practice meaningful connection through film, food, art, local community, and real conversation. We're launching it with the Better Together Film Festival, from Listen First Project, happening in communities across the country this summer to bring people together across their differences through hopeful, true stories.

Join us for this kickoff event of Wild Belonging!

Watch the featured film, (announced soon!), followed by a warm, facilitated conversation — no performance required, just real people showing up as themselves.

Event Details Coming Soon!

This first event is FREE. If you're able and it feels right, a pay-what-you-can contribution helps us keep creating spaces for real connection across our community.

Come for the film; stay for the kind of connection that's getting harder to find.

Then keep coming!

Wild Belonging meets the third Friday of every month, each gathering with its own theme and its own way to connect. Stay tuned for more information and future events!

Social Connection in Rutland County

— A Gathering for Rutland Region Leaders & Changemakers

Autumn Forest Bridge

This event is an introduction to social connection as community infrastructure for the people shaping our region. We'll share what we're learning about social connection, isolation, and loneliness in Rutland County — the real impacts, what's possible, and findings from our 2025 Landscape Analysis and Social Tinkering survey — and explore how we might prioritize and intentionally grow connection together.

This is where Social Roots Studio's next chapter begins, and we'd love the region's leaders and changemakers in the room.

Date, time and location coming soon!

Are you interested in helping the Rutland region to thrive?

Whether you are a community organizer, lead an organization or programming, own or manage a business, or are an elected official, we want you to be part of this conversation. Are you a community member and changemaker interested in helping to grow meaningful connection in the Rutland region? All are welcome - your voice is important in this conversation!

More details coming soon! For now, join our email list for future updates.

In the works!

New here? Come as you are. we've got your back.

We know how overwhelming it can be to walk into a new room with new people. We also know that we're all out of practice making friends and growing friendships. Between busy lives, caregiving for others, and living in a loud and divided world, we get it. It's often easier and much more comfortable to stay home. But, we humans are social creatures with a need to belong as strong as needing food, water, and shelter - we just don't always realize how much we really do need to feel belonging in our community until things are not going well.

If you've been watching our events from the sidelines, working up the nerve to come — you're in good company. A lot of our regulars felt exactly that way before their first visit so they get it. Here's what to expect: a friendly face to greet you at the door, no pressure to be outgoing or "on," and an easy way to ease into the room at your own speed. You don't need to come with anyone, know anyone, or be anyone but yourself.

Come once, and see how it feels.

how we show up together

Our gatherings work because everyone helps create the space.

When you join us, you're agreeing to uphold our community guidelines with us:

Treat others with respect and dignity.

We're all human, and we all make mistakes — explain, don't shame.

Seek first to understand, then to be understood — stay curious!
